This rigid insulation, sold in 4x4 or 4x8 sheets has the highest 'R' Value on the market and can be used on roofs, in walls, as stability for retaining walls, with radiant heat flooring, as sound barrier, etc.

Poly-Iso Insulation has been available for many years, first as the most efficient flat roof heat barrier, then over the vaulted ceilings of log homes with exposed wood inside. Walk-in coolers are generally made of Poly Isocyanurate covered with a cleanable surface inside.
Remodelers soon discovered basement walls could be firred out with a 2x4 or 2x2 to hold Poly-Iso against old concrete walls then surfaced with drywall, cheaply expanding living space for homeowners.
Have you ever noticed Pigeons gathered on a roof? Guaranteed it’s a poorly insulated roof. Pigeons will not perch on an insulated roof that keeps the heat IN the house. Observe the roof of a house after a heavy frost or light snow. On poorly insulated roofs, vertical lines will appear on the shingles directly over the rafters. That wood, (with an ‘R’ value of ‘1’ per inch) actually transfers enough heat to melt the ice and keep the Pigeons warm!! If a roof is overlaid with Poly-Iso attached to the OSB nailer, no such heat is lost.
In warmer months, insulating works the opposite and blocks OUT the heat!!
Older homes with 2x4 wall studs can easily get a value of ‘R19’ between them with Poly-Iso insulation while fiberglass fails to get a legal ‘R’ value in 3.5 or 4 inches.
Builders are learning to apply Poly-Iso bonded to OSB for outside walls as well given wood only has an ‘R’ value of 1 per inch, rendering it a poor insulator. Whether new or re-siding your home a layer of Poly-Iso applied over the wall studs or roof rafters creates a “cocoon” for the residents inside.

Over the years we've learned that some folks need a higher 'R' value than the 4" provides so we are able to glue the product to your specs. We use a dextrin glue that we purchase in bulk and though we don't sell it, we do have the specs. The gluing process applies to any thickness. For example, we might not have 2" but we do have 1" in which case we can glue 2 - 1" pieces to get 2". We do need payment on the product before we start gluing,(we learned that the hard way!).
